Langkawi Cable Car

Payar Marine Park

Snorkeling and scuba diving are activities everybody, young or old, experienced or amateur, can do and enjoy. With minimum equipment and preparation requirements, snorkeling especially can be enjoyed as a family since all you need are fins and a mask to get a glimpse at the amazing undersea world. While it is possible to snorkel and scuba dive around the main island of Pulau Langkawi, these activities are best done at the reefs around the Pulau Payar Marine Park, 19 nautical miles off Langkawi Island. A fantastic place some consider on par with Tioman and Redang’s offerings, the simplicity of the setup and arrangement for snorkelling and diving activities here make it incredibly popular for amateur and advance enthusiasts.

Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is another activity that’s offered by the tour operators to Pulau Payar. Once you book a trip to the island, the operators will approach you on the ferry to see if you’re interested in scuba diving. The dive masters provide a one on one guide for those who decide to take up on the offer, so that those who have never dived before can do so.

The deeper waters where the operators bring you hold a richer variety of large fish. Guided by experienced divers, you’ll see schools of large fish including barracudas, cod and snappers which are absent from the shallow waters of the beach in Pulau Payar Marine Park. After an hour or two in the deep water, the divers will head back to Pulau Payar for some fun and relaxation.

Nightlife In Langkawi

Langkawi’s best places for after-hours drinks are located around Pantai Cenang, Pantai Tengah and Pantai Kok.

Cenang’s stretch is popular for its restaurants that morph into nightclubs with cocktail bars and Pantai Tengah’s strip has pubs with deejays spinning music and live performances from local acts. Meanwhile, Pantai Kok’s after-dark scene is centred on the Telaga Harbour Park – a boardwalk opposite the marina.

It may as hot as blue blazes in this stall but the tasty fare will more than make up for it. There’s such a wide variety of dishes to go with your rice – try the ayam masak lemak and the sambal grilled fish – that you’ll be hard-pressed to make a choice. Operated by a husband-and-wife team, the food here is exceptionally cheap and worth every cent.

Beachside moonlit dinners come as a standard feature in Casa del Mar. Be seated among the coconut trees while being serenaded by the symphony of waves on the shore and the breeze filtered by palm fronds. The menu of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine lightly spiced with the flavours of Asia.

Jadi cubalah…memang best punyerr.. Dia punya ayam ranggup dan sos kicapnya power…mesti try kalau di Langkawi.
